On New Year's Day, many vow to improve their health. But if you're thinking about giving up coffee for one of your New Year’s Resolutions you may want to think again!
Researchers have found daily consumption of coffee may have healthy benefits.
A Harvard study reports those who consume three to five cups of coffee a day are less likely to die prematurely compared to nondrinkers.
A report presented at a meeting of the European Society of Cardiology suggested three to five cups of coffee a day lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by up to 21 percent.
And a study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute suggested a reduction in the occurrence of melanoma by 20 percent for coffee drinkers who enjoyed at least four cups a day.
So there you go - it’s SCIENCE people, we don’t fake this stuff.
Keep your new years resolution for a healthier life, but you may not need to cut out a daily cup of your favourite Coffee. In fact you may want to consider increasing to four or five cups a day.... purely for its health benefits of course ;)
